University of Southampton: Scholarship Opportunities For Students

In this month’s newsletter, you’ll find key information about funding opportunities your students may be automatically eligible for, as well as a unique funding offering for Physics applicants that needs swift action.

You’ll also find invitations to webinars to find out more about three of our subjects, law, physics and chemical engineering, where academic colleagues will cover a summary of these subjects and their real-world applications to a variety of subjects.

Following a longer than usual arrivals period, we’re thrilled to have now welcomed all our new and returning students back for full-time, face-to-face teaching for the 2021/22 academic year. With teaching already in Week 7, our campuses are once again well and truly alive with our global community of students and staff.

Larger scale in-person events including our recent Open Days have also now restarted, and individual visits to our campuses for those wishing to do so can once again be booked via our online system.

BA Textile Design

Student Internship Testimonial

Winchester School of Art student Hannah Bentley undertook an internship during her second year.

“The overall experience has been really helpful to gain an insight into the textile industry, by being in a production and manufacturing environment, it has helped me to understand more about the business side of the company. As I’m going into my final year it will be really useful to go back with new knowledge of weaving, traceability of yarns and specialised skills.”
